Effective Date: 3/1/2026
Provider: Atlantic ER Vet Consults, LLC
Scope of Services
Atlantic ER Vet Consults, LLC provides veterinary teleconsulting services exclusively to licensed veterinary professionals. Services include case consultation, diagnostic guidance, and clinical recommendations. These services are intended to support, but not replace, the primary veterinarian’s professional judgment and on-site care or further specialty care if recommended by Atlantic ER Vet Consults, LLC.
Eligibility
Access to our services is restricted to licensed veterinarians in good standing. By using our services, you confirm that you hold the appropriate professional credentials and are authorized to provide veterinary care in your jurisdiction.
Appointment and Consultation Process
Consult requests must be submitted through the website or designated platform, including complete patient information, relevant history, diagnostics, and images when applicable. Upon receipt, Atlantic ER Vet Consults will confirm and schedule the consultation based on availability. Initial consult responses are generally provided via email within approximately four (4) hours. If a phone call or Zoom consultation is preferred, this must be indicated on the consult form. Clinical guidance is based solely on the information provided; the accuracy and completeness of submitted data directly impact the recommendations issued. Consultation hours may vary daily depending on hospital commitments; some days may have no availability, while other days may extend beyond the standard 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. window. Turnaround times may also vary depending on case complexity and staff availability. This process is designed to ensure consistency, efficiency, and clear communication between veterinary professionals.
Billing and Card-on-File Authorization
All consultations are billed after services are rendered according to the established fee schedule. By providing your payment information, you authorize Atlantic ER Vet Consults to maintain your credit or debit card on file and process charges for completed consultations. Itemized invoices detailing all services provided will be issued, and any disputes must be submitted within thirty (7) days of the invoice date. This “charge-later” approach aligns with our commitment to transparent and professional billing practices.
Confidentiality and Data Use
All patient information shared during consultations is confidential and intended for professional use only. We adhere to applicable veterinary privacy standards and do not share case details without proper consent. Users of this service are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any guidance or recommendations received.
Limitation of Liability
Consultation recommendations are based solely on the information provided and are intended to assist the treating veterinarian. Atlantic ER Vet Consults, LLC is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our consult services. The primary veterinarian remains fully responsible for all patient care decisions.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
Veterinary teleconsulting services are provided in accordance with the applicable licensing requirements of South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. By using these services, you acknowledge that the provider maintains active veterinary licenses in South Carolina and Florida, with licensure in Georgia pending, and that all services comply with the regulations of the states in which the provider is licensed.
