Frequently Asked Questions
-
Our services are exclusively for licensed veterinarians in South Carolina and Florida. We provide vet-to-vet guidance for critical care and emergency cases—no direct client consultations. This ensures your patient care is supported by specialized expertise.
-
Secure Payment Setup: To streamline your consulting request, we utilize a secure card-vaulting system via Stripe.
Standard Procedure: Save a payment method on file to secure your appointment. This card is authorized for funds but not charged at the time of booking. The requesting clinician may use their personal payment card or the veterinary hospital’s payment card to secure the appointment.
Atlantic ER Vet Consults, LLC utilizes a secure, PCI-compliant billing portal through Stripe. Clients can manage payment methods, view past invoices, and update billing information at any time via the Secure Hospital Billing Portal
Billing Notifications: Once the consult is complete, an itemized invoice is sent immediately to the billing contact provided. Reminder notifications will be sent on Days 1, 7, and 14.
Automatic Settlement: To ensure timely accounts receivable, if the invoice remains unpaid after 14 days, the vaulted card on file will be charged automatically.
Payment Responsibility: Please ensure that only hospital corporate cards or attending veterinarian cards are used for booking. To protect your practice and maintain our consultant-only role, we cannot accept direct payments or card information from pet owners (third parties).
By utilizing these services, the requesting hospital accepts full responsibility for fees. Atlantic ER Vet Consults does not establish a Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) with the pet owner, and we do not participate in hospital-client billing discussions.

Booking Instructions
To initiate a consultation, please follow the steps below:
Access the Portal: Visit www.atlanticERvetconsults.com and select the Book Now button located in the top right corner.
Select Service Type: Choose Initial Consult for a new case or Follow-Up for patients currently under active consultation.
Secure a Review Time: Select a preferred appointment time from the available schedule.
The Reserved Review System
To maintain the highest standard of specialist-grade analysis, Atlantic ER Vet Consults utilizes a Reserved Review System. This ensures every patient receives focused, high-level clinical attention.
Dedicated Clinical Blocks: The durations listed (Initial: 60 minutes / Follow-up: 30 minutes) represent reserved windows of dedicated clinician focus. This structure ensures a thorough evaluation of medical history, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory data without the risk of rushed conclusions.
Asynchronous Workflow: These blocks are for internal medical review and do not require a live meeting. This allows for the focused processing of complex diagnostics and the generation of actionable medical plans.
Capacity Limits: Booking is subject to daily capacity limits. Once the available review blocks for the day are filled, the schedule closes to ensure the quality of feedback remains uncompromised for existing cases.
Finalizing the Submission
Documentation: Complete the corresponding form with all relevant patient information, recent diagnostics, and clinician/hospital contact details.
Compliance: Confirm VCPR compliance and submit payment to finalize the request.
Post-Booking Options

Request a Zoom or phone consultation if a live discussion is desired.
Written consultation responses are provided promptly, typically within 4 hours of the reserved review block.
