All hospitals must complete onboarding prior to consult access:
Signed Master Service Agreement (MSA)
Hospital + billing contact information on file (including Medical Director)

1. Standard (Scheduled) Consults
For new cases, ongoing management, and less-urgent questions
Hate phone calls? You can book a same-day slot on the calendar for non-crashing patients
Hospital selects an available scheduled review time on the website under Book Now
Submission must includes:
o Patient history, diagnostics, imaging, lab work
o Hospital + clinician contact information
Results delivered as a written plan within 4 hours of submission
2. STAT / Urgent Consults
For unstable or critical patients requiring immediate guidance
No scheduling required
Initiated by calling 843-227-6052
If available, immediate ER-to-ER clinician communication begins
Includes rapid verbal stabilization guidance first, followed by a written treatment plan
If missed, call is returned as soon as possible or directed to another service

Standard consults: written response within ~4 hours (business hours)
STAT consults: immediate verbal response when available (~15 min goal) + written follow-up within ~4 hours
Follow-up questions:
May be sent by call or text (not email)
Accepted until 6:00 PM ET same day
After 6:00 PM → must be submitted as a Follow-Up Consult for next-day review

Atlantic ER Vet Consults, LLC provides board-certified emergency and critical care teleconsulting exclusively for licensed veterinarians in General Practice, Urgent Care, and ER settings.
Led by a board-certified veterinary Criticalist, the service offers rapid second opinions, complex case support, and evidence-based guidance for unstable or complex cases — especially when referral is not possible or additional expertise is needed.
Each consult includes review of medical records, diagnostics, and treatment plans, followed by clear, practical recommendations designed to fit seamlessly into your clinical workflow.

Follow Up
Designed to provide continued clinical support following an initial consultation. This service allows for case reassessment, treatment refinement, and ongoing collaboration as the patient’s condition evolves.

Urgent Stabilization Consult
High-priority, real-time guidance for unstable patients requiring immediate intervention. This tier provides an instant professional lifeline to help stabilize a patient in crisis while a comprehensive review is underway.

Rapid Response Time with Verbal Guidance: Immediate to 15 minutes. Direct communication via phone to address the acute emergency.
Rapid Stabilization Protocol: Immediate recommendations for oxygen therapy, fluid resuscitation, pressor support, or emergency pharmacology.
Critical Record Audit: Focused review of the most recent bloodwork, ECG, or imaging to identify life-threatening abnormalities.
Post-Crisis Written Plan: A formal, documented treatment and monitoring plan delivered within 4 hours of the initial call.

Acute Respiratory Failure: Upper airway obstruction, severe pulmonary edema, or "blue on arrival" cases.
Refractory Shock: Patients not responding to initial fluid boluses or requiring vasopressor support.
Status Epilepticus: Management of uncontrolled seizure activity or acute neurological decline.
Life-Threatening Arrhythmias: Rapid identification and management of V-Tach, third-degree AV block, or other malignant rhythms.
Immediate Post-Surgical Crisis: Rapidly declining hemodynamics or recovery complications.
